ABOUT CATALYST

Built to help more good ideas become durable community impact.

Catalyst began with a practical question: how might philanthropic resources support proven solutions, measure what happens, and—when appropriate—be put to work again?

OUR ORIGIN

A shared response to a persistent gap.

Five founding philanthropic organizations came together around the belief that grants should remain central—and that some opportunities need an additional kind of capital.

They created Catalyst as a trusted intermediary: one place to surface solutions, evaluate readiness, structure financing, coordinate partners, and maintain accountability for outcomes.

THE FOUNDING FIVE

Five perspectives. One commitment to stronger communities.

The founding organizations provide philanthropic leadership, local context, and a long-term view of community outcomes.
